About me
My name is Frida López, I’m currently in my eight semester at Tecnológico de Monterrey studying to get my Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts, specifically in 2D animation. I have a passion for concept art, my strongest area being character design but I also enjoy working on storyboards and animation. I’ve worked on multiple projects as head of the animation and art department, the most recent one titled: E0147, which is the project I'm working on currently as my last university project.

Eight semester university project
SYNOPSIS
In Aquari-b, a post-apocalyptic planet, lives a small alien girl called Joru. Her dream is to one day leave her planet to navigate through space and reach the stars. One fateful night, a spaceship crashes right by her house. While investigating the ship, she meets a human identified as E0147 who might be the missing thing needed for her dream to come true.

Glimpse is a short animated film that our studio Stardust Studios created to celebrate the 35th anniversary of The Ballet of Monterrey. It was developed as the final project of our sixth semester. My role in this production was Animation Director but I was also involved in storyboard, concept art and post.

SYNOPSIS
Theia is a human girl living in Lykofos, a place filled with mystical and fantastic creatures. She's the owner of the most famous tavern where adventurers gather for a warm meal and exchange stories. One day, she meets Nyx passed out in the back alleyway, hurt and hungry. Theia invites her inside, heals her wounds and cooks her a hearty meal, in exchange, Nyx finds some wanted posters that offer a reward for the creatures in the paper which becomes her way of paying her back and her next meal, forming a friendship with the human. What will happen when the creature is more than they can chew?

A character I designed based on Japanese tradition and legends: the Kitsune, a fox spirit with 9 tails and its relationship with magic and fire. Drawn in Procreate, each layer is separated for animation and rigging purposes, it could be used as a Vtuber or my online persona.
